In Joseph Everett’s Newsletter (WIL) #38, item #1, the first sentence reads:
"1. Sunlight: Time for a rethink?
A paper published just over a week ago (April 24th, 2020) in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology is questioning the ‘don’t get too much sun or you’ll get skin cancer’ narrative."
The problem I have is the date, which is four(4) years old. And I know jit's a typo.
Exactly, there’s no reason to give him publicity if what seems like a large portion of your viewer base doesn’t know anything about him. There is no bad publicity.
"""UCA–glutamate pathways have not been demonstrated, yet learning disability in Scottish schoolchildren is linked, dose dependently, to reduced maternal UVB exposure in utero (Hastie et al., 2019
Urocanic acid (UCA) are, based on a quick look, derived from histidine which are, in order of concentration, found in pork, beef, chicken, tuna, tofu, beans, milk.
It will be interesting to see what effects these lockdowns in combination with recent changes in diet will have a decade from now.
2.
Can't find any sources for them requiring 2.7% of calories to be from LA; but, this paper from 1963 (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/356923879_ROLE_OF_LINOLEIC_ACID_IN_INFANT_NUTRITION), while inaccessible in full, has a reference noting that: "LA deficiency developed in infants who received either a diet practically devoid of fat or one providing 42% of the calories as fat but extremely low in LA (<0.1% of energy (EN))".
So 2.7% is quite hefty.
"""A seminal study conducted in 1959 [https://www.jci.org/articles/view/103819/pdf] provided lactating women with a high LA diet consisting of fats from lard, corn oil, or linseed oil, which approximated the LA content of the standard American diet, with approximately 15–30% of total calories coming from LA. Within 2–3 days of changing their usual diet to the high LA diet, the amounts of LA in their breast milk increased from 8–10% to 42%.""" - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10386285/
I feel like this has been mentioned in a video or post already? Still, a chocking increase to see.
4.
Thermodynamics (formulas) are the basis for how artificial neural networks are trained after all.
5.
Those psychologists/psychiatrists really ought to learn to come to terms with their tragic upbringing rather than trying to cope by making it the new normal.
If you want to look into it further yourself then do note that LA may also be referred to as "18:2 (n-6)" or "18:2 cis-9,12"; where 18 denotes the amount of carbon atoms and 2 denotes the amount of double bonds among the same. The "n-6" and "cis-9,12" are different notations for where and how the double bond(s) appear.
The fourth point reminded me of the concept of ruminating, or as I like to call it “chronic venting,” where we spend a lot of time thinking and talking about our problems. Rumination is bad for us and is linked to depression and letting our minds rest sounds like a great way to prevent that.
Did you even read it? He is quoting the guy and the guy is using simplified syntax both because he is posting on Twitter (at first) and because he is removing words to give the idea of simple speech and not thinking (later).
3. Finally: NHS declares that Women have rights, men don't.
Did anyone seen men-only wards? if a man asks for a male doctor we are called misogynist.
Women just hate having their privileges taken from them for the first time in all of western history.

Fine newsletter, BTW. Keep up the goodwork.
I think you’re digging too hard into mate… it’s getting repetitive and I couldn’t care less about him.
If you're taking of Gabor Maté part, then I agree.
I did not even know of him before Joseph said anything.
Exactly, there’s no reason to give him publicity if what seems like a large portion of your viewer base doesn’t know anything about him. There is no bad publicity.
There is no winning with Gator’s way of thinking

What's the linoleic acid profile in sesame oil? Is it safe to consume? We use it mostly in the state of Tamilnadu, located in the South of India.
The ester form of LA in sesame seeds seem to range from 39-50% depending on the variant: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6400779/

Raised on seed oil formula gang represent 😤💪
Point 4 makes no sense. The grammar feels off, did you even proofread it?

Screenshot didn't load at first, I see it now 👍
