Since transitioning to the carnivore diet, I noticed that my meals take MUCH longer to eat. So the type of food being eaten may also be influencing the time it takes to eat it (and have a direct impact on liver disease).

Since I quit caffeine, Ive had horrible sleep patterns. First, the lack of caffeine made my body sleep deeply, and for 9 hours a night. Also, when I run once per week, if I don't go far enough, my nervous system cant shut down until about 2 am.

But theres also something else at play. Got up at 6am yesterday after 3 hours of sleep. Still couldnt sleep until 2am this morning. The same thing happened last year. No matter how sleep deprived I am, my body keeps me up at night. But it should wear off at some point again.

I've heard that the reason SSRIs are sometimes effective for certain mental illnesses (including OCD) is because it increases neuroplasticity and gives the brain a chance to heal damage (depression) or rewire (OCD). The problem afterwards is quitting the drug. But honestly, it's saved my life, so it's hard to complain.
