You can't claim vegetarianism increases risk for depression when the study doesn't establish causality. Arguing that observational studies with anti-meat findings often make headlines is a non sequitur — you're basically saying "my scientific thinking is fallacious, but that's fine because sometimes others' is as well".

Somewhat related to your general topics, I saw this video about how people used to eat a lot more calories while staying thin, even people who wouldn't work hard (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUtxeioima8). It's kind of low on information about what the reason might be, it guesses that it might be seed oils. I had never heard that people used to eat so much more without gaining weight, is this something you've encountered in your research?

Just listened to Dr. Jack Kruse and Andrew Huberman on Rick Rubin’s podcast and I found it quite fascinating. While I disagree with Jack that food has nothing to do with optimal health, he talks about what he believes are the keys which include IR light and Deterium Depleted water. I had a light box when I lived in the NW but it wasn’t a quality one so not sure how these others would’ve fared but I don’t think we’re meant to be under blue lights. It makes more sense to me now since we seem to be living in opposite land where almost all of what we do goes against our biology and best interests.
